Not sure on the 80 proof texture as advertised, but just a basic texturizing powder thats scented. The lid to unscrew can be a bit finicky to twist and open.

bought this hoping it would help texturize my old lady thinning hair. Well, it definitely did add some texture, but it felt like a helmet and snarled my hair something wicked.
I think it would be great for someone with pretty short hair who never touches it once its styled. That would not be me. Had to return.
